Curriculum Consultation Night

Following on from our ICT Sharing it was good to see 22 parents able to join in our Consultation Evening. We shared the intent of the New Zealand Curriculum and how we have aligned our Upper Moutere Curriculum to this intent. We also looked at the Key Competencies of: Managing Self; Thinking; Language, Symbols and Texts; Relating to Others; Participating and Contributing and how these are conveyed through our school Vision. At the end of the evening, over coffee and scones, parents contributed their ideas as to the content, knowledge and contexts they think are important for the children of Upper Moutere to experience while at this school.

We will use this information to help further develop our school curriculum.
