On Tuesday two mixed teams took part in the annual Year5/6 Rippa Rugby Tournament in Motueka. Paul was impressed by the attitude of our students and how their skills developed through the day. Presently we are re-focusing on the correct pronunciation of Maori with emphasis on vowels, days of the week, greetings and local place names. We are encouraging children to say Moutere – Mow- terry; Motueka – Mor tu ear ka…it would be great if we could all get good at saying these correctly.
