Upper Moutere School - all the news

Farewell Penni

Published on December 12th, 2009 (2 years, 1 month ago.)

Penni has been a large part of Upper Moutere School for 10 years. She started at Upper Moutere in 2000 as a Teacher Aide and after two and half years she trained for 15 months before returning as a teacher …until now.

Penni has been the driving force behind our library, spending numerous unpaid hours, in her own time, purchasing and processing books and keeping it looking as a library should despite the rest of us!  She has also taken various Curriculum leadership roles especially Visual Art and for a time was Acting Deputy Principal. Penni has an ability to create a quiet, focused classroom and her passion for her ‘darlings’ is obvious.

Penni is taking up the challenge of a new school and new role, teaching Visual Art at Nelson Intermediate. I know you will join with us in wishing her well.
