School Target Update

As you are aware Mathematics is one of major curriculum targets for 2010. In term one teachers have really focused their class programmes around raising the mathematical knowledge of our students, with a particular emphasis on basic facts. They have sought your support with this through home learning and we are starting to see some promising results. We will continue to develop and monitor this further for the rest of the year. Next term we will re assess those students who achieved below the level we would expect for their age in the Mathematics PA Test to gauge if this improved knowledge is being applied in problem solving.
