The Governor General Visits Upper Moutere School
Today we hosted Sir Anand Satyanand the Governor General of New Zealand and Lady Susan, his wife. Their Excellencies were supported brilliantly during their visit by our Student Council members.
Their Excellencies saw all our students in action from syndicate singing to writing, maths and art. Sir Anand spoke to the school about his family and his role as Governor General before joining us for morning tea. Lady Susan and Sir Anand enjoyed being with your children and were entertained by them scootering and uncycling as they left for their next engagement.
I could not be prouder of our students and how they conducted themselves today…WOW!
