Staff Development

Last Friday as you will be aware all of the teaching staff and myself spent the day at Red Beach School in Auckland. Last term we spent the morning with two of the Red Beach Staff here at school and the purpose of Friday was to see the theory in action. We wanted to see how they have developed student voice and ownership of their learning. We also wanted to see their learning process that we have adopted. It was a really valuable opportunity, which will help us to further develop our curriculum and programmes at Upper Moutere. It is great that we can have the whole teaching team away yet the school continues to function as normal, this is due to the fantastic students we have and the quality of our relieving teachers.
