We have motivated students who like to be actively involved in a variety of sports. Toby and Cathy are our teachers responsible for sports activities who liaise with a number of sporting codes to ensure our students have as many opportunities as possible to participate in sports.
There are regular updates in our school newsletter and on our Parent App, informing students and parents of upcoming events, calling for interest in joining teams and seeking parent support in coaching and management.
Recently Upper Moutere School has had teams competing in Hockey, Miniball, Touch Rugby, Volleyball, Netball.
We are also very lucky to have access to the Moutere Hills Community Centre which hosts the Rangers clubs for Football and Rugby as well as Moutere Hills Tennis. The Centre also provides opportunity to be involved in Martial Arts, Gymnastics and Dance.
Interschool Events are overseen by Toby. There are a number of events throughout the year that are hotly contested, some are Moutere Hills Cluster events others are Motueka or Nelson wide.
