Parents play an essential part in school activities such as the library, classroom programmes, grounds maintenance, transport for school trips and camps and attending our weekly assembly.
The information on this page, and it’s sub pages is designed to help us answer your questions and keep you informed.
Fund-raising
Working bees and fund-raising are other very valuable ways parents contribute to the school. We have a hard- working group of parents who co-ordinate our school’s fund-raising to help purchase special equipment. If you are interested in helping with fund-raising please contact the principal and see our page on the Supporters of Upper Moutere School – SUMS.
Donations
Donations are a voluntary contribution that helps to provide extra resources which would otherwise not be available to our school children. The suggested donation for this year is: $60 single child, $90 two child family, $110 three + child family.
Donations can be paid online (include surname & ‘donation’) or at the office. See below for bank details.
Parents A-Z
We maintain a list of frequently asked questions from Parents. Hopefully it helps answer some of your queries. You can see it here – Parents A-Z. If we can help in any other way, please email us at [email protected].
Enrolment
Children can begin school on or after their fifth birthday and new entrants and their parents are encouraged to visit the school before then. Getting to know our teachers and our school helps to provide a happy start for your child. Learn more about pre-school visits, mentors and our enrolment package.
